RESOLUTION 2004-22

MBG INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT

WHEREAS, Michigan Blueberry Growers Association, are owners of property described as:

Township of Columbia, County of Van Buren, State of Michigan, to wit:

That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 8, Town 1 South, Range 15 West, lying Southeasterly of railroad grounds EXCEPT beginning 841.20 feet West of the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence North 04 degrees 48’ East 327.36 feet; thence West to railroad; thence Southerly along same to a point 168.30 feet West of beginning; thence East 168.30 feet to beginning, ALSO EXCEPT beginning at a point 911.95 feet South and 653.73 feet West of the Northeast corner of Section 8, Town 1 South, Range 15 West; thence North 199.50 feet to railroad; thence Southwesterly along railroad to a point West of beginning; thence East to beginning.

Have requested Columbia Township to establish an Industrial Development District for the real property described above, and,

WHEREAS, Section 4 (4) of the Michigan Public Acts of 1974, Act No. 198, requires that the Township shall give written notice to the owners of all real property within the proposed Industrial Development District and hold a public hearing on the establishment of the Industrial Development District, at which time those owners and other residents or taxpayers of the local governmental unit shall have a right to appear and be heard,

THEREFORE, the Columbia Township Board shall hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at 6:30 pm. To consider establishing such a District.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Hurley.

Upon roll call vote, the following voted.  Beckwith aye; Burgett aye; Fogarty aye; Harrington aye; Hurley aye .

The Supervisor declared the resolution adopted.
