COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP

2020 JULY BOARD OF REVIEW

The July Board of Review has been scheduled on a virtual platform, at the following time:

July 25th, 2020                      10:00am

The purpose of this meeting is to correct a clerical error or a mutual mistake of fact relative to the correct assessment figures, the rate of taxation, or the mathematical computation relating to the assessing of taxes, the clerical error or mutual mistake of fact shall be verified by the local assessing officer and approved by the board of review at a meeting held for the purposes of this section on Tuesday following the second Monday in December and, for summer property taxes, on Tuesday following the third Monday in July.

Appeals will be heard by appointment and letter only.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO HOLD MEETING ELECTRONICALLY

BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING

JULY 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. 

THE MEETING WILL BE HELD ELECTRONICALLY 

The Columbia Township Board of Review will hold their meeting electronically on July 25, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. This meeting will be held electronically pursuant to the Open Meetings Act and Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-129. Pursuant to Executive Order 2020-129, the Township gives notice of the following:

1.         Reason for Electronic Meeting.  The Board of Review is holding its meetings by electronic means only because, pursuant to Executive Order 2020-110, the Township Hall provides limited access to the public, residents are encouraged to remain at home or in their place of residence to the maximum extent feasible, and all in-person government activities are limited except for critical infrastructure workers and workers necessary to conduct minimum basic operations.

2.         Procedures.  The public may participate in the meeting electronically and may make public comment by:
