Volunteers are not used as 'cheap labor' but rather to add value to projects.

Volunteerism is alive and well in Columbia Township.  Many of our citizens volunteer in many ways to help improve the lives of their neighbors, our environment, and our community.

We have listed just a handful of local volunteer efforts.  To these volunteers and to all other volunteers in Columbia Township, we salute you!

Ball Park Committee

The Ball Park Committee has donated many hours of their time working on the ball park located behind the Columbia Township Hall.  There is still a lot of work to be done.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Commodities Distribution

Each month, commodities are distributed to qualified senior citizens.  Every three months, commodities are distributed to qualified low income households.  Commodities are distributed from the Columbia Township Hall by a group of volunteers.

Neighborhood Watch

Residents and property owners in Columbia Township have benefited from the diligent efforts of the local Neighborhood Watch organization for over a decade.  These dedicated "community watch dogs", along with our county sheriff and State Police, have succeeded in making Columbia Township a safer place to live and own property.  Check out the meeting schedule.
