Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 26 citizens.

Supervisor: Checking on recycling costs.

Assessor: Board of Review for clerical errors-December 13, 2008 10 am.

Fire Chief: 8 calls received in October: 2 structure fires; 1 stove fire; 1 vehicle accident; 3 power lines down; and 1 standby. Average response time was 4.5 minutes. In case of emergency there will be someone standing by and the Fire Department. A check for $5,318 was presented to the Burn Camp.

Sheriff: 88 complaints received in xxx: 2 abandoned vehicle, 7 accidents, 5 alarm activation, 12 assault, 4 be on the look out, 3 breaking & entering, 2 civil/property disputes, 1 conservation; 2 fraudulent activity, 15 general assistance, 5 health & safety; 1 indecent exposure, 8 invasion of privacy, 5 larceny, 2 obstructing justice, 1 open intoxicant, 4 public peace, 1 stolen vehicle, 7 suspicious situation, 1 VCSA.

State Police: No Report.

County Commissioner: VBC has earned $1,000,000 interest on delinquent property tax.

Planning Commission: The November 17, 2008 meeting was cancelled because of the weather.

Neighborhood Watch: No Report.

Hospital: Book Fair-December 2, 2008 10am-4pm & December 3, 2008 7am-3pm. 5,440 pounds of food was collected at the Michigan Harvest Food Gathering. Healthy Holiday Cooking Class-November 19-6pm. Kids Camp-November 29, 2008. Volunteers are needed.

South Haven Senior Services: Soup/Salad Dinner-November 19, 2008-5-7pm. Thanksgiving Senior Nite Out-November 21, 2008-5pm.

Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.

Zoning Administrator: 7 Zoning Compliances issued in October: 1 migrant housing; 1 Ag. Addition; 2 pole barns; 1 shed foundation; 1 sun room; 1 move location of trailer.

Blight Officer: No Report.

New Business: 1. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to be closed November 23 through December 1. Carried unanimously. 2. Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to approve Resolution 2008-23-Saddle Lake Assessment Roll. Roll call vote: Bradford aye, Burgett aye, Fogarty aye, Hurley aye, Harrington aye. Carried unanimously. 3. Motion by Bradford, second by Burgett, to approve the Professional Lake Management contract. Carried unanimously. 4. Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to approve $3000 for the MTA Conference. Carried unanimously. 5. Motion by Bradford, second by Burgett, not to accept the bid from Keith Guttormson.
