Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 26 citizens.

Consent Agenda: Regular Meeting Minutes-June 19, 2007; Planning Commission Meeting Minutes-June 18, 2007; bills through July 17, 2007; Treasurer’s Report. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the Consent Agenda. Carried unanimously.

Clerk: Bills paid since the Consent Agenda: First National for supplies/postage/software-$449.15

Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the bills paid after the consent agenda. Carried unanimously.

Public Comment: James & Rose Austin have a property line dispute with their neighbor.

Matt Super & Jeannie Hayword are upset because his road is rough and dusty.

Additions/Corrections to Agenda: Motion by Bradford, second by Harrington to add #5 New Business-Waive second residence fee for Betty Gates. Carried unanimously.

Supervisor: No Report

Fire Chief: 12 calls received in June: 1 car fire, 1 good intent, 3 grass/brush fires, 1 medical assist, 1 mutual aid, 2 personal injury, 1 structure, 2 unauthorized burning. Average response time was 7.42 minutes.

Sheriff: 110 complaints received in June: 1 abandoned vehicle, 17 accidents, 10 alarm activation, 10 animal at large, 1 armed robbery, 5 assault, 1 ATT pickup, 5 be on the look out, 2 breaking & entering, 1 civil/property disputes, 1 conservation, 2 delinquent minor, 2 dog law violation, 1 fraudulent activity, 25 general assistance, 1 harassing/nuisance, 4 larceny, 1 marine patrol, 2 MDOP, 3 obstructing justice, 1 open intoxicant, xxx under the influence of liquor, 8 public peace, 4 suspicious situation, 2 VCSA.

State Police: No Report.

County Commissioner: New dog barking ordinance.

Planning Commission: Ordinance update is nearing completion.

Neighborhood Watch: Their was a great turn out at the Pancake Breakfast.

Hospital: South Haven Hospital will be going smokeless as of July 7, 2007. The Shoreline After Hours Clinic opened July 1, 2007.

South Haven Senior Services: SHASS needs volunteers.

Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.

Zoning Administrator: 8 Zoning Compliances issued in June: 1 addition/remodel; 1 Carport; 1 Hot Tub Addition; 1 Migrant Trailer, 1 New Home, 2 Pole Barns, and 1 Cabin.

Blight Officer: No Report.

Discussion: Second deputy for part time during the summer months
