Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 20 citizens.

Guest Speaker: Laura, Jep Lake Golf Course. Presented all the activities of the golf course.

Supervisor: Many issues about standing water are being addressed.

Fire Chief: 7 calls received in March: 3 grass/brush fires, 3 structure, 1 controlled burn. Average response time was 7.43 minutes. The fire lanes will be checked to identify problems with getting fire equipment back to homes.

Sheriff: 116 complaints received in March: 2 abandoned vehicle, 4 accidents, 8 alarm activation, 3 animal at large, 13 assault, 2 ATT pickup, 7 be on the look out, 9 breaking & entering, 2 civil/property disputes, 1 criminal sexual conduct; 1 delinquent minor, 1 dog law violation, 1 fraudulent activity, 21 general assistance, 1 harassing/nuisance, 2 health & safety, 3 invasion of privacy, 7 larceny, 7 MDOP, 1 missing person, 2 under the influence of liquor, 4 public peace, 3 reckless firearm, 1 stolen vehicle, 9 suspicious situation, 1 vehicle inspection.

State Police: Kyle Gorham gave a report of the activity in Columbia Township in March.

County Commissioner: A representative from the Van Buren County Road Commission will be attending the Regular Meetings.

Planning Commission: The Township applied for the Watershed Grant.

Neighborhood Watch: Next meeting-May 3, 2007-7:30 pm.

Hospital: New Doctors-Dr. Lizu Gao, Internal Medicine; Dr. Denise Kazmierczak, OB/GYN. Volunteers are needed for the South Haven Hospital Auxiliary.

South Haven Senior Services: Volunteers were honored at a luncheon in South Haven.

Recreation/Cemetery: Fencing is needed at the Breedsville Cemetery.

Zoning Administrator: 4 Zoning Compliances issued in March: 1 modular; 1 re-roof; 1 pole barn; 1 home.

Blight Officer: No Report.
