Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 15 citizens.

Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the Consent Agenda. Carried unanimously.

Supervisor: The Road Commission will be submitting bids for the problem areas where water is standing.

Fire Chief: 2 calls received in December: 1 downed wire; 1 short in electrical equipment. Average response time was 4.0 minutes. For 2006-77 calls with an average response time of 6.4 minutes. January 13th was the Fire Department Annual Awards Dinner. Fire Fighter of the Year-Dave Johnson; Distinguished Service Award-Carl Leadingham; Keeper of the Flame-Anne Willett.

Sheriff: 88 complaints received in December: 1 abandoned vehicle, 4 accidents, 9 alarm activation, 7 animal at large, 5 assault, 4 ATT pickup, 4 be on the look out, 5 breaking & entering, 2 civil/property disputes, 1 conservation, 1 cruelty to animals, 2 delinquent minor, 2 dog law violation, 4 flee/allude, 13 general assistance, 1 harassing/nuisance, 1 invasion of privacy, 1 larceny, 1 MDOP, 3 obstructing justice, 2 stolen vehicle, 7 suspicious situation, 7 traffic violation, 1 vehicle inspection.

State Police: Kyle Gorham gave a report of the activity in Columbia Township in December.

County Commissioner: No Report.

Planning Commission: February 18, 2007, Erin Fuller from the Black River Watershed will be the guest speaker.

Neighborhood Watch: Watch for suspicious activity.

Hospital: The new 64 slice CT scanner is up and running. There were 425 births in 2006 breaking the previous record.

South Haven Senior Services: The medical mileage grant is being used faster than anticipated. The new transit director will be visiting the various townships.

Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.

Zoning Administrator: 3 Zoning Compliances issued in December: 1 wood frame, 1 modular, 1 migrant housing.

Blight Officer: No Report.

Old Business: None

New Business:

Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve Resolution-2007-01-Budget Amendment. Roll call vote: Bradford aye, Burgett aye, Fogarty aye, Hurley aye, Harrington aye. Carried unanimously.

Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to approve $500 for the Household Hazardous Waste Program. Carried unanimously.

3. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to be closed January 26, 2007. Carried unanimously.

4. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to appoint Jack Bowen to the Planning Commission until December

31, 2009 and Rosemary Hurley as the board rep. until December 31, 2007. Carried unanimously.

5. Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to approve the FD purchase of 3 SCBA units & 7 SCBA bottles, not to

exceed $12,100. Carried unanimously.

Public Comment: John H.-The Senior Night Potluck had 100 guests and the New Years Eve Party had 82 guests.

Frank G.-The FD should have ice rescue equipment.

Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to adjourn. Carried unanimously.
