WHEREAS, Public Act 39 of 1976 authorizes Government Municipalities to appropriate funds for activities or services for older/senior citizens; and,

WHEREAS, activities or services under said Act mean identifiable actions directed toward improvement of the social, legal health, housing, educational, nutritional, recreational, or mobility status of older persons, being persons 60 years and older; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED South Haven Area Senior Services, Inc. will receive full reimbursement from the Columbia Township Senior Services Millage with the provision that SHASS agrees to budget the following for the Senior Dinners held monthly at the Columbia Township Hall.

5 senior special events-not to exceed $430 each-receipts to be given to SHASS

7 senior pot lucks-not to exceed $80 each-receipts to be given to SHASS

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Hurley.

The Supervisor declared the resolution adopted.
