Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 22 citizens.

Supervisor: No Report
Sheriff: 97 complaints received in April: 2 abandoned vehicle, 6 accidents, 9 alarm activation, 9 animals at large,
6 assault, 6 be on the look out, 4 breaking & entering, 1 civil/property disputes, 1 cruelty to animals, 1 delinquent minor, 2 dog law violation, 2 fire/ems, 18 general assistance, 6 health & safety, hit & run, 2 larceny, 3 MDOP, 2 obstructing justice, 1 under the influence of liquor, 1 public peace, 2 runaway, 8 suspicious situation, 2 traffic violation, 3 vehicle inspection. Scrap metal prices are up causing an increase in theft.
State Police: No Report.
County Commissioner: The new County Administrator has been doing a great job.
Fire Chief: 9 calls received in April; 2 unauthorized burning; 1 structure assist; 2 accidents; 3 brush fires; 1 downed power line. Average response time was 6.89 minutes.
Planning Commission: A Special Use Permit for a Campground on CR 384 and 53rd was tabled until June 19th.
Neighborhood Watch: Next meeting-June 1, 2006-7:30 pm. The person who has been making false 911 calls has been arrested.
Motion by Fogarty, second by Harrington, to recess for 5 minutes. Carried unanimously.
Hospital: Dr. Maura Buckingham, General Surgeon, has joined the staff of South Haven Hospital. Kylie Williams, Jennifer Empson, and Sarah Pfaff, have each received a $1,000 scholarship from the South Haven Hospital Auxiliary.
South Haven Senior Services: No Report.
Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.
Zoning Administrator: 8 Zoning Compliances issued in April: 2 remodel, 3 Ag. Buildings, 2 Decks, 1 Pool .
Blight Officer: No Report.
Correspondence: None
Old Business: Latchaw Cemetery Lots-Tabled until next month.
New Business:

| Motion by Burgett, second by Harrington, to table the sale of the Berlamont parcel until a title opinion can be obtained. Carried unanimously. | |
| Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to give .20 mil of the Senior Services Millage to SHASS. | |
| Motion by Bradford, second by Burgett, to amend the motion to keep up to ½ of the Millage in the township for senior activities. Carried unanimously. | |
| Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the Senior Millage Resolution 2006-15, Roll call vote: Bradford aye, Burgett aye, Fogarty aye, Hurley aye, Harrington aye. Carried unanimously. | |
| Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to be closed May 27 through May 29 for Memorial Day. Carried unanimously. | |
| Motion by Bradford, second by Burgett, to approve the Acting Fire Chief salary of $8,004 per year. | |
| Motion by Fogarty, second by Burgett, to amend the motion by adding a salary review in 30 days. Carried unanimously. | |
