Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 13 citizens.

Consent Agenda: Regular Meeting Minutes-April 3, 2006; bills through April 18, 2006; Treasurer’s Report. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the Consent Agenda. Carried unanimously.

Guest Speaker: Cassie Sikes-Coloma Ambulance-explained services and statistics.

Announcements: None

Additions/Corrections to Agenda: Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to remove item #2 under new business. Carried unanimously.

Supervisor: No Report

Sheriff: 74 complaints received in March: 7 accidents, 4 alarm activation, 9 animal at large, 8 assault, 2 ATT pickup, 3 be on the look out, 6 breaking & entering, 1 civil/property disputes, 1 conservation, 2 criminal sexual conduct; 1 delinquent minor, 1 for your info, 1 fraudulent activity, 9 general assistance, 1 harassing/nuisance, 2 health & safety, 1 larceny, 2 MDOP, 3 obstructing justice, 1 reckless firearm, 1 recovered stolen vehicle, 6 suspicious situation, 1 traffic violation, 1 vehicle inspection.

State Police: Kyle Gorham gave a report of the activity in Columbia Township in March.

County Commissioner: No Report.

Fire Chief: 7 calls received in March, 2 personal injury, 2 smoke detector activations, 2 structure assists, and 1 tree down. Average response time was 5.29 minutes.

Planning Commission: At the April 17th meeting a public hearing on the proposed zoning ordinance amendments for Ag A, Ag B, and Commercial. was held. Proposed changes recommended by the township attorney to the zoning ordinance Article 9 & 10, were reviewed and approved.

Neighborhood Watch: Next meeting-May 4, 2006-7:30 pm. Tonya Schuitmaker will be the guest speaker.

Hospital: May 17 the South Haven Community Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a Blood Drive at the Peace Lutheran church. Last year approximately 22,000 hours were worked by over 100 dedicated volunteers.

South Haven Senior Services: No Report.

Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.

Zoning Administrator: 6 Zoning Compliances issued in March: 2 cabins, 1 deck, 1 home, 1 migrant housing, 1 pole building.

Correspondence: None

Discussion: Dale Bradford will be presenting a proposal to the board for a fire board committee.

Old Business: Latchaw Cemetery Lots—Harrington still did not have paperwork.

New Business:
