Whereas, Michigan Social Security Number Privacy Act, Public Act 454 of 2004, MCL 445.82 seq., (the "Act") requires the township to create a privacy policy concerning the Social Security numbers that it possesses or obtains, and

Whereas, Columbia Township deems it is in the best interest of the Township to protect the use of Social Security Numbers of elected officials and employees as required by the Act,

Now Therefore Be It Resolved that the Social Security Number Privacy Policy presented on December 20, 2005, be adopted as the Columbia Township Social Security Number Privacy Policy.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Hurley.

Upon roll call vote, the following voted.

The Supervisor declared the resolution adopted.
