Supervisor Bradford called the Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board to order. Present were Bradford, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 19 citizens.

Consent Agenda: Regular Meeting Minutes-July 19, 2005; Special Meeting Minutes- August 13, 2005; Planning Commission Meeting Minutes-July 5, 2005; bills through August 16, 2005; Treasurer’s Report. Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the Consent Agenda. Carried unanimously.

Sheriff: 122 complaints received in July: 2 abandoned vehicle, 6 accidents, 6 alarm activation, 5 animal control, 2 animal cruelty, 7 assault, 8 be on the look out, 4 breaking & entering, 3 civil/property disputes, 2 delinquent minor, 2 dog law violation, 2 fire/ems, 1 flee/allude, 1 fraudulent activity, 24 general assistance, 4 larceny, 1 lost/found property, 1 marine patrol, 3 MDOP, 23 medical response, 1 obstructing justice, 7 public peace, 1 stolen vehicle, 3 suspicious situation, 2 traffic violation, 1 VCSA.
State Police: Kyle Gorham gave a report of the activity in Columbia Township in July.
County Commissioner: Because of the Headlee Roll Back there has been a loss of $500,000 in revenue for the County.
Fire Chief: Eight calls received in July, 1 car fire, 3 medical assist, 3 personal injury, 1 unauthorized burning. Average response time was 6.25 minutes.
Planning Commission: Thomas Fry was appointed to replace Al Baerren. The Planning Commission is currently working on the Agricultural District of the Zoning Ordinance.
Neighborhood Watch: Cops for Kids will be taking place August 28 2005. December 15, 2005 drugs related to the making of meth will have to be behind the counter.
Book Station: A Community Wide Garage Sale will be held September 3, 2005, at the Columbia Township Hall. Call 434-6227 for more information.
Hospital: SHCH has joined Spectrum Health Regional Hospital Network. The Community Health Fair was held August 12, 2005 as part of the National Blueberry Festival.
South Haven Senior Services: No Report.
Recreation/Cemetery: The sheriff work crew cleaned up Thompson Cemetery.
Zoning Administrator: Six Zoning Compliances issued in July: 1 remodeling, 1 sun room, 2 window replacements, 1 single wide, 1 addition.
Correspondence: None
Old Business: Motion by Harrington, second by Fogarty, to give Calabrese 30 additional days to remove the trailer. Carried unanimously.
New Business:
