COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES

A Special Meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Beckwith. Present were Beckwith, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, Harrington, and 4 citizens.

Agenda order changed by consensus. L

Lisa Barnes Lopez will be appointed Deputy Clerk to replace Dan Burgett for the rest of his term.

	Motion by Burgett, second by Hurley, to give George & Mary Lee Harrington until May 15, 2004 to clean up the blight on his property at 02324 46^th St., Bloomingdale, MI. George & Mary Lee Harrington requested more time to clean up their blight. Carried. Harrington abstain.
	Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to give Christine Riddle until May 15, 2004 to remove the old trailer from her property at 16522 49^th St., Grand Junction, MI. Christine is the daughter of Mary Lee Harrington and has had numerous health & financial problems. Carried. Harrington abstain.
	Motion by Beckwith, second by Burgett, to approve the purchase of SCBA’s for the Fire Department, from Argus Supply Company for $29,220.88. The original estimate was for more than $43,000. Carried unanimously.

The Board traveled around the township looking at roads in need of repair for 2004.

	Paving 52-1/2 St. from CR 380 North to 18^th St.
	Paving 18^th St. from 52-1/2 St. West to Pavement
	Seal Coat CR 215 from CR 388 North to Baseline
	Seal Coat CR 388 from 46^th St. West to just past 51-1/2 St. below hill
