The Regular Meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Beckwith. Present were Beckwith, Burgett, Fogarty, Hurley, and Harrington. In attendance were 31 citizens.

Motion by Fogarty, second by Hurley, to approve the Consent Agenda. Carried unanimously.

Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to approve the bills paid after the consent agenda. Carried unanimously.

Public Comment: The New Attitude Cycle Club of Breedsville will be having a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner/Dance on March 19, at the Clubhouse in Breedsville.

Additions/Corrections to Agenda: Motion by Burgett, second by Fogarty, to add to New Business #8 Budget Amendment.

Supervisor: Coloma Ambulance is working to reduce response times.

Sheriff: 95 complaints received in January: 4 abandoned vehicle, 13 accidents, 12 alarm activation, 7 assault, 1 be on the look out, 2 conservation, 1 criminal sexual conduct; 1 fire dispatch, 31 general assistance, 1 invasion of privacy, 3 larceny, 1 lost/found property, 5 obstructing justice, 2 under the influence of liquor, 1 public peace, 1 repossession, 1 runaway, 6 suspicious situation, 1 traffic violation, 1 vehicle inspection. Applications for Citizens Police Academy are available at the Columbia Township Hall.

State Police: No Report.

County Commissioner: No Report.

Fire Chief: 13 calls received in January: 1 car fire, 3 mutual aid (1 Bangor, 1 South Haven, 1 Lee), 2 personal injury, 5 structure (3 arson), 1 railroad crossing malfunction, 1 dispatched & cancelled in route. Average response time of 7.62 minutes. Dog clinic at the Columbia Township Fire Station on February 22 from 2-4 pm; Reflective green house number signs are for sale for $20, which includes installation.

Planning Commission: A notice was made available showing what South Haven is doing in Wetlands on the Black River.

Neighborhood Watch: Next meeting-March 4-7:30 pm.

Book Station: Volunteers are needed to work at the Book Station on Saturday’s.

Hospital: Construction is continuing at the Hospital.

South Haven Senior Services: No Report.

Recreation/Cemetery: No Report.

Zoning Administrator: No Zoning Compliances issued in January.

Blight Officer: No Report.
