RESOLUTION 2003-09

"Pay Certain Monthly Expenses to Avoid Penalties"

WHEREAS, some vendors and employees payment schedules do not align with Columbia Township Board monthly meeting dates.

BE IT RESOLVED, Columbia Township hereby acknowledges the following vendors may be issued payment prior to regular Board meetings to avoid penalties and/or provide wages to employees:

Consumers Energy Electrical Power, General & Fire

Telephone Companies Phone, General & Fire

Propane Companies Heating, General & Fire

West Michigan Savings Bank Federal Withholdings

Department of Treasury State Withholdings

Jeff Gasper Maintenance Twp. Hall/Cemetery

Keith Gasper Maintenance Twp. Hall/Cemetery

Fire Fighters Hourly wages prior to Christmas

Election Inspectors Elections

Post Office Stamps

First National Bank Credit Card

In all cases, invoices will be provided at the next regular Board meeting for review and approval of all warrants issued against the Township for current month expenses.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Fogarty.

Upon roll call vote, the following voted.

The Supervisor declared the resolution adopted.
