WHEREAS, Columbia Township needs to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare of persons and property within the Township; and

WHEREAS, Columbia Township is susceptible to damage from hazardous material spills; and

WHEREAS, Columbia Township needs to be able to recover costs of clean-up in the event of a hazardous material spill; and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Columbia Township adopts "Hazardous Spills Expense Recovery Ordinance" #2002-12.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Fogarty.
