RESOLUTION 2002-03

"MINING ORDINANCE-2002-01 RESOLUTION"

WHEREAS, Columbia Township needs to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of persons and property within the Township, and

WHEREAS, Columbia Township needs to regulate commercial mining involved in earth removal, quarrying, gravel processing, mining and related mineral extraction businesses within the Township, and

WHEREAS, Columbia Township needs to require reclamation of areas thereby disturbed and to provide penalties for violation, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Columbia Township adopts Mining Ordinance 2002-01.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Hurley.

Upon roll call vote, the following voted.

Hurley aye

The Supervisor declared the resolution adopted.
