RESOLUTION 2002-02

"Budget Amendment"

WHEREAS, Columbia Township revenues and expenditures have deviated from the anticipated values reflected in the fiscal year 2001/2002 budget,

BE IT RESOLVED, Columbia Township approves the following budget amendment:

Road Fund

Increase budgeted Highways Streets & Bridges expense by $30,504 from $218,000 to $248,504.

As a result of this Road Fund budget change, the budgeted Road Fund Balance is decreased by $30,504 from $111,897 to $81,393.

Fire Fund

Increase budgeted Fighters-Recruit. & Retain. Expense by $400 from $1,000 to $1,400.

As a result of this Fire Fund budget change, the budgeted Fire Fund Balance is decreased by $400 from $118,677 to $118,277.

General Fund

Increase budgeted Prof. Services-Legal expense by $15,000 from $11,000 to $26,000.

Increase budgeted Assessor expense by $700 from $17,100 to $17,800.

Increase budgeted Clerk expense by $386 from $10,325 to $10,711.

Increase budgeted Treasurer expense by $277 from $9,925 to $10,202.

Decrease budgeted Township Hall expense by $1,363 from $14,500 to $13,137.

Increase budgeted Cemetery expense by $200 from $18,723 to $18,923.

Decrease budgeted Police Protection expense by $15,000 from $40,925 to $25,925.

Decrease budgeted Inspection Services expense by $3,700 from $23,900 to $20,200.

Increase budgeted Zoning Administrator expense by $1,400 from $10,800 to $12,200.

Increase budgeted Planning Commission expense by $2,800 from $15,900 to $18,700.

Decrease budgeted Zoning Board of Appeals expense by $1,442 from $1,900 to $458.

Increase budgeted Maintenance expense by $2,192 from $4,500 to $6,692.

Increase budgeted Dumpster Site expense by $10,941 from $25,250 to $36,191.

Increase budgeted Hazardous Material Control expense by $59 from $1045 to $1104.

Decrease budgeted Culture & Recreation expense by $1,450 from $5,250 to $3,800.

Increase budgeted Contrib.-Road Fund expense by $70,000 from $70,000 to $140,000.

As a result of this General Fund budget change, the budgeted General Fund Balance is decreased by $81,000 from $216,243 to $135,243.

The foregoing resolution offered by Board Member Burgett and supported by Board Member Hurley.
