COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES

A Special Meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Beckwith. Present were Beckwith, Burgett, Fogarty, Harrington, and Hurley. In attendance were 10 residents.

Motion by Beckwith, seconded by Burgett, to appoint Farley Gruber, as acting interim Fire Chief. Carried.

Motion by Beckwith, seconded by Fogarty, to pay the Acting Fire Chief a salary of $16,000 per year. Carried unanimously.

Continuing to serve on the Fire Department are Mike Brewer, Ken Goodwin, and Max Streeter.

Volunteers who resigned after the termination of Fire Chief Harry Rogalla are, Ken & Marie Speicher, Casey Stellini, and Mark Stickels.

Fire protection is temporarily being supplemented and supported by Bloomingdale, Bangor, and Lee Fire Departments.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Questions were asked if there was going to be a contract for the acting fire chief and if response times would be going up.
