The Special Meeting of Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Beckwith. Present Beckwith, Speicher, May, Harrington and Landers. Fire Chief Rogalla was in attendance.
Agenda: Township 2000/2001 Budget work session
BUSINESS:
- Speicher moved to include Burnham & Flower invoice in agenda, seconded by May. Carried unanimously.
- Beckwith moved to place $650.00 in General Fund for South Haven Humane society, failed for lack of second. Harrington moved to place $750.00 in the General Fund for South Haven Humane Society, seconded by Beckwith. Carried unanimously
- Speicher moved to transfer $70,000.00 of General Fund to Road Fund for additional 2000 / 2001 roadwork, seconded by Landers, Carried unanimously.
Harrington left the meeting at 7:40 p.m. to attend Planning Commission Meeting.
- Beckwith moved to transfer $30,000.00 of General Fund to Ambulance Fund, seconded by Speicher. Carried unanimously.
- Speicher moved to make a capital Ambulance Station account with a budget of $70,000.00, seconded by Beckwith. Carried unanimously.
- Discussion: Speicher presented the 2000 / 2001 Fire Department Budget to the Township Board. Fire Chief Rogalla was asked and answered questions on line items within the proposed budget.
Speicher moved to transfer $10,000 of General Fund to Fire Fund, seconded by Landers. Carried unanimously.
Harrington returned to Township Board meeting at 8:45 p.m.
- Speicher moved to pay Burnham & Flower invoice for $3,466.45, seconded by Landers, Carried unanimously.
