Supervisor Beckwith called the Special Meeting of Columbia Township Board to order at 7:30 p.m. Present Beckwith, Speicher, May, Harrington and Landers.

PURPOSE: Fire Protection Issues

  1. Speicher moved to pay Attorney Boardman’s invoice for $1,562.00, seconded by Harrington. Carried unanimously.
  2. Speicher moved to adopt Resolution 9923 "Authorization to Litigate BBACG" for monitory damages which occurred while being a member of the BBACG Joint Fire District. Roll Call Vote, Beckwith Aye, Speicher Aye, May Aye, Harrington Aye and Landers Aye.
  3. Speicher moved to adopt Resolution 9924 "To Form a Special Assessment District", seconded by Harrington. Roll Call Vote, Beckwith Aye, Speicher Aye, May Aye, Harrington Aye and Landers Aye.

Estimated cost for fire protection is 2.9 mils or approximately $121,139.00 for the first year of assessment

Estimated cost for Ambulance service is 0.4 mils or approximately $16,709.00 for the first year of assessment.
