COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The special meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Burgett at 5:00 PM. Present were Grahek, May, Landers, and Harrington. One Person also attended.

The Board discussed approximately 17 road projects in addition to the 3 paving projects that had already been approved (see attached list).

May moved to do all the projects listed, seconded by Grahek. Carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Next the Board discussed Grahek's resignation from the office of Columbia Township Clerk, to become effective at noon on May 6, 1998. Landers moved to accept the resignation, seconded by May. Carried unanimously.

Then the Board discussed applicants for the Clerk's office. May moved that Kenneth Speicher be appointed to the office of Columbia Township Clerk, to become effective at noon on May 6, 1998. Seconded by Harrington. Carried by a vote of 3 to 1, with Burgett casting the lone dissenting vote, and Grahek abstaining.

Grahek then moved to adjourn, seconded by Burgett. Meeting adjourned at 6:26 PM.
