Date of Meeting: |
Monday, March 02, 1998 |
The special meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Burgett at 11:10 AM, after the road tour. Present were Grahek, May, Landers, and Harrington. Four people also attended.
The Board discussed various possible projects, but decided to hold off on committing to most of them, pending more estimates. However, because of the early notification requirement for paving, they decided to take action on three paving projects. Grahek moved to pave 8th Avenue, seconded by Burgett, carried unanimously. Harrington moved to finish paving that portion of 16th Ave. that has a base coat, seconded by Burgett, carried unanimously. Landers moved to pave 47th Street north of CR 380, seconded by Burgett, carried by a vote of 4 to 1, with Harrington casting the dissenting vote.
Next the Board discussed a replacement for the Board of Review. Landers moved that we appoint Nate Ellis if he can take it, and if not, Lorraine Dentzman. Seconded by May, carried unanimously.
Landers moved to adjourn, seconded by Harrington, carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 12:02 PM.
