The regular meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Burgett. Present were Grahek, Landers, and Harrington. Absent was May. 23 people also attended.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved with a motion by Landers seconded by Harrington. Carried unanimously.
Treasurer's Report was read and approved as follows:

Motion by Grahek seconded by Burgett. Carried unanimously.
Clerk's report of monthly bills was read and approved as follows:
General Fund: $12,837.85 Road Fund: $4,600.00
Motion by Landers seconded by Burgett. Carried unanimously.
Deputy Scott Batten announced that this is marijuana season, and if people see suspicious activity they should report it. He also announced that failure to observe the detour signs on CR 388 could result in an expensive ticket.
Burgett announced that the September meeting would be held on the 23rd because of the election on the 16th.
Grahek introduced a resolution to adopt a new shorter land division application form and moved that it be adopted. Seconded by Burgett, carried unanimously.
The Board discussed how much it should charge for proposed land division applications. Grahek moved that it charge $100.00. Seconded by Burgett, carried unanimously.
Assessor Hal Manning presented the Board with 8 land division applications for compliance with the Land Division Act approval. Grahek moved to approve the divisions as complying with the state law, with the stipulation that it did not constitute approval under local zoning or other regulations. Seconded by Burgett, carried unanimously.
Zoning Admin. Elizabeth Estavillo announced that construction in the twp has increased substantially.
Fire Board Rep. David Goss announced the election on Sep. 16. He said that Geneva Twp had already passed it, and Bangor city would vote in Oct. He also passed out fliers supporting the prop.
VBC Comm. Doug DeLeo announced that the county had hired Constance Darling as its new Equalization Director.
Hospital Rep. Jan Conway announced that the hospital held an open house for new orthopedic surgeon Jeffrey Postma. She also announced that progress is being made on the renovation.
Grahek moved to adjourn, seconded by Landers. Meeting adjourned at 8:50 PM.
