The regular meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Larry Burgett. Present were Grahek, Landers, and Harrington. 20 people also attended.
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved with a motion by Harrington, seconded by Burgett. Carried unanimously.
Treasurer's Report was read and approved as follows:

Motion by Grahek seconded by Harrington, Roll call vote unanimous.
Clerk's Report of monthly bills was read and approved as follows:
General Fund: $19,681.56 Road Fund: $8,445.00
Motion by Landers seconded by Burgett, roll call vote unanimous.
Deputy Scott Batten introduced himself and told of his background. He reported that the vehicle is being housed in Bangor and he gave the Sheriff Dept. phone number 657-3101.
Grahek introduced Ordinance #9702, Columbia Township Land Division Ordinance, that the Township has been working on, and moved that it be adopted. Harrington seconded. Carried by unanimous roll call vote.
Grahek introduced a Land Division Application Form and moved that it be adopted. Burgett seconded. Carried unanimously.
Landers moved to approve July 12 as free dump day. Grahek seconded. Carried unanimously.
Burgett reported that he is still looking for someone to run the transfer station, and that Westbrooks will stay until a new person is hired. Grahek moved that the Supervisor be authorized to hire a new transfer station attendant. Seconded by Landers. Carried unanimously.
Burgett indicated we should do another roadside cleanup, and asked that people call him 427-7651 to report roadside debris.
Grahek introduced a resolution calling for common sense and avoiding unreasonable hardship in ordinance enforcement. Seconded by Landers, carried by unanimous roll call vote.
BBACG Rep. Goss reported that Steve Lauder was elected as the new Fire Chief. Also, BBACG is rewriting its rules and bylaws.
Hospital Rep. Jan Conway reported that the hospital has spent a great deal of time doing a self-evaluation and the results have been good.
Grahek reported that the Lot Sale List will hopefully be published on June 30.
Grahek moved to adjourn. Seconded by Burgett. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
