COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES

At 10:09 AM the special meeting/workshop of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Burgett. All members were present. No one else attended.

The Board first worked on unfinished business on the proposed budget.

A letter from Enforcement Officer Tash was presented, requesting a flat pay of $6,000.00 per year, as opposed to an hourly rate plus mileage. Grahek presented the resolution, seconded by May, which carried by unanimous roll call vote.

A letter from Assessor Manning was presented, requesting a fee of $1,160.00 per month ($13,920.00 per year) for assessing services. Landers presented the resolution, seconded by Burgett, which carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Mileage reimbursement was discussed. May presented a resolution that the Township pay a rate of $.31 per mile. Seconded by Burgett, carried by unanimous roll call vote.

The requirement for a Freedom of Information coordinator was discussed. Grahek presented a resolution that the FOIA coordinator be paid an additional $600.00 per year. Seconded by Burgett, carried by unanimous roll call vote.

The matter of whom to appoint as FOIA coordinator was discussed. Harrington moved to appoint the Clerk as the FOIA coordinator. Seconded by Landers, carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Burgett requested authorization to hire clerical help for the Board of Review. Grahek moved to authorize the Supervisor to hire clerical help for the Board of Review. Seconded by Landers, carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Landers moved to adjourn, seconded by Harrington. Meeting adjourned at 11:51 AM.
