The regular meeting of the Columbia Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Burgett. Present were Grahek, May, Landers, and Harrington. 20 people also attended.

Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved with a motion by Harrington, seconded by Landers. Carried unanimously.

Treasurer's Report was read by May and was approved as follows:

General Fund

Investments

Road Fund

$ 10,581.92

Trust & Agency

$ 943.27

Investment activity included purchase of $23,500.00 CD for Road Fund. Motion by Grahek, seconded by Burgett. Roll call vote unanimous.

Clerk's Report of monthly expenditures was read and approved as follows:

General fund: $15,745.54 Road Fund CD: $23,500.00

Motion by Landers, seconded by May. Roll call vote unanimous.

The Board briefly discussed possible auditors being considered. Landers moved to table selection until the next meeting. Seconded by Burgett. Carried unanimously.

Burgett announced the inspector contracts were still not ready.

Burgett suggested waiting until next fall on a snow plowing contract.

Grahek introduced a budget amendment resolution; no change in fund balance. Seconded by Burgett. Carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Grahek introduced a resolution to apply for the purchase of tax reverted lands from the State. Seconded by Burgett. Carried by unanimous roll call vote.

Assessor Hal Manning gave a brief rundown on the amount of increases in the new assessment notices and suggested scheduling the Board of Review meetings. Grahek offered the resolution: Be it resolved, the Board of Review will meet on March 20 and 21, from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 1:00 to 4:00. Seconded by Burgett, carried by unanimous roll call vote.

BBACG Rep. Goss passed out applications for green and white mail box numbers and announced dog vaccination clinics on Mar. 6 and 16.

Jan Conway announced the hospital is planning to renovate the north side of the building and redesign the intensive care area.

The Board briefly discussed a request for monthly notices of Board meetings. Landers moved that a notice be published during the first week of the month in the Reminder and Advertiser. Burgett seconded, carried unanimously.

An audience member suggested the possible need for a street light at the corner of 51 1/2 Street and CR 388.

Grahek moved to adjourn, seconded by Burgett. Carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 8:56 PM.
