GRAND JUNCTION … Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vincent, Grand Junction, will be honored on their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house in the annex of Grand Junction Congregational church Sunday, Nov. 29, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited. The Vincents were married on Nov. 29, 1920, in Big Rapids at the home of Rev. and Mrs. W. S. Ross; former pastor of their home church. Mrs. Vincent is the former Emma Barnes. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent have lived in this area their entire lives and still reside on the Vincent homestead where they moved after their marriage. They are semi-retired from farming but are still active.

  1. No, the Township has no extra copies of the Grand Junction Centennial Celebration Book. They have one remaining book from the 1971 Centennial that was used to create this history section on the Township website.

    Above there’s an image of Willenridge Lodge on Silver Lake (and I’ll assume that’s Silver Lake Road in the image. Yet the zip code on the photo is for Brodhead, KY. Did the zipcode change from 40409 to 49056? And if so, when?

    I was trying to find out if Saddle Lake was ever called Lyster Lake? I see from the wonderful photo’s that the Lyster family lived in Grand Junction, and probably around Silver Lake, with at one time was called Silver-Saddle, is this correct. Thank you if you can help me with this. Much appreciated.
